Our beginnings
Many rural communities and small towns are facing challenges, including rapid growth at metropolitan edges, declining rural populations, and loss of farms and working lands. THE CAN - Culture, Art & Nature was established in 2010 to be a community-focused business that supports and builds the economic vitality of local communities.
We want to improve the quality of life in a locality through ecological, cultural, political and institutional efforts; we care about various issues, such humanity and culture, land environment, industrial innovation, underprivileged groups and disadvantaged children. Ten years on, we are still building an ever-flourishing community support system!
We are the initiators of “Community Cultivation Projects” to help local fading industries create development opportunities for traditional crafts through design; we insist on only purchasing local food and work with the local supply chain to attract more youths to come home to engage in the public affairs of the community and expand social influence.
In addition, we have invested resources to construct a caring system – partnering with companies to help disadvantaged students, providing accompaniment to children as they grow up, and opening stores that offer occupational.
