ekomia GmbH is a design studio based in Berlin. ekomia focuses on the design and sale of furniture made of solid wood and metal, as well as home accessories such as mattresses, bedding and lamps.
Since its foundation, ekomia has focused on sustainable business processes. The product design aims to create timeless, functional objects that are made from renewable or recyclable/recycled raw materials from certified sources as far as possible.
By specialising in solid wood, we create unique, natural products with a high level of durability that can also be easily repaired.
Ekomia's production partners are selected according to strict criteria such as distance, company structure, quality, environmental & social standards. Products and packaging are plastic-free, if possible. In addition, ekomia promotes a reduction of consumption by offering repair & upcycling kits and free guidance to refurbish old furniture.
