We are on a mission! To spread the joy of delicious and sustainable seafood, now and forever. Due to the current status of our oceans, that is not a given. Destructive fishing practices have damaged marine ecosystems, exhausted many of our oceans’ fish stocks and put the livelihoods of fishing communities all over the world at risk. This is no small thing. As much as 35% of the world’s fish stocks are being overfished, and this number keeps on growing every year. This is not only a serious treath for our oceans, but also for 800 million people worldwide – 10% of the world’s population – who depend on fishing for their livelihoods. This must change! We show the world that this can be done differently. We set-up direct and long-term partnerships with carefully selected fisheries that harvest from healthy fish stocks with minimal impact on the ecosystem. We also set additional requirements on the fishing methods with the least impact on the ecosystem! Through direct collaborations with fisheries, we always know exactly where the fish comes from and the conditions in the factory and on board. Through our foundation, the Fish Tales Foundation, we initiate projects to further improve fisheries or explore new innovations. All of this is unique, in the Netherlands and beyond. nd last bu
